Thank You Professor Brady for Fall 2011

I have never been a big fan of English or any language to be fare. Since I have English as a second language it is even harder. However, Professor Brady who has been teaching ENG102 that I have been taking this semester has been doing a great job. It has always been fun to go to class because there have always been something new and excited planed for the class. Professor Brady introduced early in the semester a concept that she called fishbowl. Everyone in the class gets into circles. Sometimes there was five small once but other times there was just one big fishbowl for the whole class. When we were in the fishbowls it was more informal so I was not as nervous to share my thoughts. It was nice because we got to know all the other people in the class.
The biggest struggles for me in the class was to share my thoughts and ideas. There were a lot of times that Professor Brady said something and wanted the class to reflect on it. I am the kind of person that wants to hear what everyone else says before I raise my feelings. This was the same way when I went to go wedding gowns. I had really close friends to me but I still was the last one to say my opinion. It was not that I agreed with them and they will tell you that most of the times, they loved it but I said that I hated it. I am not nervous about having a different opinion and raising that. The problem is that I am not use to talk first. I know that I have got that from my dad. Both my dad and I have been the reflection persons and we are always the last person to say what we think. I was working on it really hard in class and I am getting better to start sharing my opinion faster.
One of the things that I learnt in class is that I have to analysis literature. I am going to continue working on my analytic ability when it comes to literature. I know that I am really good at analyzing things when it is about mathematic but not English. For me it is just letters on a paper. I can give you a better analysis of the order of the letter than what the words really are saying.  I have learned that I have to push myself when I am analyzing literature. I was getting better at it as the semester went on but I know that I still have miles to go.
I liked the way that Professor Brady is using the blog to communicate with us in the class. I have a blog that I have had for a couple of years. I love my blog and it is a way to communicate with everyone in Sweden. The blog is on Swedish and the blog gives my family and friends a chance to be a part of my life. I blog about everything that I would like to which could be about something that I read in the newspaper or what I saw on the way to school in the morning. I am going to start to post songs and thought about the lyrics because that is something that I learn in my English class that I really like doing. I love songs that have really good and meaningful lyrics which I learnt from Professor Brady that it is poetry.
